When I was born, I was black,
When I was growing up, I was black,
When I would go in the sun, I was black,
When I was cold, I stayed black,
When I was scared, I stayed black,
When I was sick, I stayed black,
and when I die, I will still be black.
You white folks........
When u born, u pink,
When u grow up, u white,
When u go in the sun, u red,
When u cold, u blue,
When u scared, u yellow,
When u sick, u green,
When u bruised, u purple,
and when u die, u grey,
So who u callin' colored folk's???
